Hristo Vitchev

Originally from Bulgaria and now based in the San Francisco Bay Area, Hristo combines elements of classical, modern jazz, folk and avant-garde sonic hues in his music. He has performed at some of the most prestigious jazz clubs and festivals in the world, and continues to amaze critics and audiences alike with his imaginative, lyrical and illustrious writing.
Alongside ten critically-acclaimed albums as a leader and four as a co-leader, he has written more than 323 books and studies on modern jazz guitar — the collection this site exists to hold. Over the years he has also given extensive guitar clinics across the USA, Europe and Japan.
